Am I a Cuckold? A 20-Question Honest Self-Test
By Juliet Monroe · updated 2026-10-17 · 5 min read

This am I a cuckold test is twenty questions I wrote for husbands who are not sure whether the thing they keep thinking about is a passing curiosity or a real orientation. It is not a clinical instrument and it does not diagnose anything. It is a mirror, held up by a hotwife who has read a lot of honest confessions.
Take it alone, in private, with a pen. Answer the way you actually feel on a typical day, not the way you would like to feel.
How to score
For every question choose one number:
- 0 = No, not at all
- 1 = Slightly, sometimes
- 2 = Yes, fairly often or fairly strongly
- 3 = Yes, very strongly, it is a constant theme
Add the twenty numbers. The total runs from 0 to 60. The bands are below the questions, along with what each one means.
The twenty questions

Part one: the fantasy (questions 1-7)
- When I imagine my partner (or an imagined wife) with another man, I feel a jolt of arousal.
- The idea of her being desired by other men makes me proud.
- I think about this when I am not in a sexual situation at all: at work, in the car, in the shower.
- I am more aroused by the story of what happened than by the act itself.
- I enjoy picturing a specific kind of man, a "bull", who is more confident than I am.
- Hearing the words "my wife" or "my husband" in an erotic setting affects me strongly.
- When I read or hear a cuckold story, I lose track of time.
Part two: the feelings (questions 8-13)
- Jealousy, when I feel it in a safe fantasy, becomes pleasure.
- I like feeling smaller, replaced or left out, as long as I know I am loved.
- I find myself saying or thinking "I would let her" before I think "I should."
- The idea of her coming home and telling me everything is more arousing than the idea of not knowing.
- I get a warm, tender feeling, not only a sexual one, when I imagine her happy with someone else.
- I enjoy watching her flirt or dress up for others, even innocently.
Part three: the behaviour (questions 14-17)
- I regularly seek out cuckold audio, stories or videos.
- I have asked or hinted to a partner about it, or I have thought seriously about doing so.
- I would like a ritual, object or rule, such as a ring, a lock, or a phrase, that makes the role physical.
- I have felt let down when a fantasy ended without the cuckold element.
Part four: the limits (questions 18-20)
- I can imagine enjoying it with a stop word and aftercare in place.
- I want the arrangement to be consensual and honest. Deception would ruin it for me.
- I would be fine if it stayed purely in fantasy, in role-play and audio, for a very long time.
Questions 18-20 are scored like the rest, but they matter in a different way. A high score here means you are a safe candidate for the dynamic. A low score tells you to build trust before anything else.
What your total means
| Score | Band | What it suggests |
|---|---|---|
| 0-10 | Curious or unrelated | The idea intrigues you or you are researching for someone else. Nothing needs to change. |
| 11-22 | Mild interest | A fantasy that appears now and then. Audio and talk are enough. |
| 23-35 | Real fantasy | A consistent theme with some strong triggers. You would likely enjoy a structured but gentle dynamic. |
| 36-48 | Strong orientation | The fantasy shapes your arousal. A partner conversation is a worthwhile next step. |
| 49-60 | Core identity | Cuckolding is central to your sexuality. You will do best with a partner who shares or relishes it, and with clear limits. |
No band is better. A 15 can have a perfect cuckold life in fantasy, and a 55 can be single and content with audio.
Reading your answers beyond the total

The total hides the shape. Look at which parts scored highest.
- Part one high, others low: you are a fantasy cuckold. Stories and audio will satisfy you. Start with the Start Here path.
- Part two high: you are driven by emotion, especially jealousy and compersion. Cuckold jealousy and compersion is written for you.
- Part three high: you already behave like a cuckold in daily life. Think about structure: rules, objects, rituals. See cuckold chastity if the lock appeals.
- Part four low: go slowly. You may want the feeling without the real arrangement, which is perfectly fine, and a chat with your partner about stop words would help.
- Questions 9 and 10 high: humiliation and submission are part of it. Read cuckold humiliation before you ask for anything heavy.
- Questions 5 and 12 high: you may be a devoted or "soft" type. Types of cuckolds lists them.
What to listen to for each result
You do not need a score to start listening, but the results suggest places to begin.
| Result | Try first |
|---|---|
| Curious | Part 1: The Ring Stays On |
| Mild | Part 3: Good Husband |
| Real fantasy | Part 4: Just Watch |
| Strong | Part 5: The Tap |
| Core | Part 7: All of Me |
All of these live in the same free path, so you can move up or down at will.
What this test cannot tell you

It cannot tell you whether you should do it. It cannot tell you whether your partner wants it. It cannot tell you that something is wrong with you if you score high, or low. It does not know your history or your marriage. And it cannot measure how you will feel in real life, since fantasy and reality diverge more than most people expect (see cuckold fantasy vs reality).
If any answer disturbed you, such as feeling real distress, shame that lasts for days, or a wish to hurt yourself or someone else, put the test down and talk to a trusted person or a kink-aware therapist. Nothing in this library replaces that.
Next steps by band
- Write your answers down with the date. Take the test again in three months. Scores move.
- Pick one session from the table above and listen twice, a few days apart.
- Choose one sentence that stung most, and bring it to a conversation, not an ultimatum. Something like "I notice this line affects me, and I would like to talk about why."
- Decide your pace. The decision belongs to you and your partner together.
- Revisit limits before any change in what you do.
If you have a partner, share the list of questions with her instead of your score. Ask her to answer the same ones about herself as a hotwife or hotwife-curious wife, and compare. That comparison does more for a relationship than any number. The best place to start that conversation is how to tell your wife you want to be a cuckold.
A final note from me

If you scored high, welcome. If you scored low, you just learned something real, and that was the purpose. The fantasy is a way to enjoy being yours, being hers, being the husband she comes home to. You are allowed to want it, and you are allowed to want less of it than the internet suggests. For the wider picture, read what is a cuckold and why men want to be cuckolds.
Frequently asked questions
How do I know if I am a cuckold?
Notice whether the idea of your wife with another man reliably arouses or moves you, whether you seek it out, and whether you want it consensual. The 20-question test above turns those signs into a score and a band, though it is reflection rather than diagnosis.
Is there an official cuckold test?
No clinical or official test exists. Online quizzes, including this one, are self-reflection tools. Their value is in making you notice patterns in your own reactions, not in assigning a label that someone else can verify.
Can a man be a cuckold without having a wife?
Yes. Many men hold the fantasy for an imagined or future partner and enjoy it entirely through stories and audio. Single men can also be cuckold-oriented with a girlfriend. The orientation is about what arouses you, not your marital status.
What if I score high but my partner is not interested?
Respect the no. A high score describes you, not what she owes you. Keep the fantasy in audio, talk about your feelings without pressure, and revisit the topic only when she is willing. Many couples find a gentle middle path through soft cuckolding.
Should I retake the test?
Yes, every few months. Scores shift with stress, mood and experience, and a change tells you something. Compare the shape of your answers, not only the total, and keep the dates.
