Hothusband: meaning
Also: hot husband, hothubby
Hothusband is the word you reach for when the arrangement runs the other way. Instead of the wife taking lovers while her husband enjoys it, the husband does, and his wife is the one who feels the jealousy, the thrill or both.
The core definition
A hothusband is a man whose partner knows about and welcomes his other sexual connections. The "hot" part is the same as in hotwife: the couple finds the arrangement exciting, not merely tolerable. The partner on the receiving end of it is usually called a cuckquean, which I cover in more depth in Cuckquean Fantasy.
You can see three things in the definition:
- Consent from his wife. Without it, this is just infidelity with a nicer name.
- Enjoyment, not endurance. She likes it, or likes what it does for them.
- Rules she helped write. Who, where, how often, how safe.
Why the word exists
Most lifestyle vocabulary was built around the hotwife. People noticed the lopsidedness and invented the matching terms: hothusband, hot husband, hothubby. The terms are not widespread, and you will see them mostly in couples' profiles and forum posts. They do the useful work of saying that fairness can be spelled out.

A hothusband arrangement is closer to hotwifing than to swinging because the roles are asymmetric. It is also very different from a husband who cheats. The difference is the knowledge and enthusiasm of the wife.
What the wife may feel
Women in this role describe a spread of reactions. Some feel a rush of power: he is going to another woman, and he comes back to me. Some feel proud. Some feel real jealousy and decide the heat is worth it. A few discover it is not for them. All of those are normal, which is why a hothusband needs the same kind of care a hotwife husband does: slow starts, check-ins and a way to stop. Reversing the audio
My recordings are written for husbands, so the role is reversed there, but listeners often tell me the structure translates. In Part 3: Good Husband the husband is reminded that she decides the pace. A hothusband can flip that: his wife sets the rules, he follows them, and he reports back with honesty.
Rules that help
- She has a veto, on a person, a night, or the whole thing.
- He reports truthfully and does not hide details she asked for.
- Safety is explicit: testing, protection, and no unplanned changes.
- She gets her own reward. Many couples pair the hothusband role with something that centres her pleasure, including time with a partner of her own.

It is much less common than hotwife. You find it in couples' profiles, forum posts and lifestyle chat. Many couples just say the husband has outside partners, which means the same thing without the label.
